It is an antioxidant that protects the skin from environmental and sun damage to the cell.

Benefits

  • Reduces hyperpigmentation
  • Even skin tone>
  • Brightens complexion

  • Helps protect against sun damage

Contraindications

Vitamin C is not advisable to use in these cases –

  • Active acne
  • Dry and dehydrated skin
  • Eczema
  • Rosacea

Can Be combined with

Combinations of various creams and serums can work wonders. But beware, some combinations can be catastrophic!

  • Vitamin E
  • Ferulic acid

Application Directions

  • It has to be applied before moisturizer and sunscreen
  • It is applied on damp skin

3. Retinol Serum

Retinol is an over-the-counter milder version of retinoid. It is derived from vitamin A extracts that primarily target skin aging. It is believed that one can see good results after one year of application

People crossing the age of 30 shall start using Retinol.

Application Directions

  • Start slow and use a low strength
  • Use a retinol at night
  • Follow sandwich method - apply moisturizer then retinol and again moisturizer
  • Use retinol initially twice a week then gradually start using it daily
  • • Don’t forget to apply your SPF

4. Hyaluronic acid serum

Talking in scientific terms, it’s a group of sugar molecules called polysaccharides. These molecules work to cushion and lubricate and are found naturally in the body’s connectivity issues.

It is highly advisable for those with highly dry or dull skin.

It is present in various products like serum, sheet masks, eye creams, moisturizers, and lip balms.

How long does it take to work?
