Talking to Hello Fitness, VK has his own set of rules.
All genres of population need to train
Your body is the only place where you live. At any age a healthy body is a pre requisite for a healthy mind and an active life. Physical fitness is of prime importance for everyone and each one should train in one way or other. I dedicate 2.5 hours for weight/strength training and 1 hour to martial arts per day.
Providing strength to people inculcates content
My passion is to make my body & mind stronger with each passing year and to teach others the same is my profession. It gives me immense satisfaction to see a positive change in my students, clients and general public. When people walk out with strength, power and confidence, I feel I have contributed my bit to a strong and fit society.
The efforts behind that physique
Around 4 hours per day for physical training, my approach has always been versatile. I believe in a wholesome workout with no comparisons of floor or equipment. Every medium of training has its own essentiality and efficacy. It all depends on the need of the hour and I respect each single lift because each squat counts! As far as my diet is concerned, I am very consistent and like to keep it simple. All I do is alter my protein, carb & fat ratio as per my goals & requirements. I prefer simple home cooked food.
Your say on Supplements & Shakes
There are controversies on protein shakes and supplements, but when it comes to the requirement, I fairly believe that if your food consumption doesn’t match with your nutrient requirements, it is wise to get yourself fortified. Also if someone is on the go, it’s a fair and compliant approach to meet the needs of your body.
Walk us through your self defense workshops
We preach a mix of Krav Maga (Israel military defense) and Aikijujutsu (japanese). We try and sharpen the road side skills and senses as awareness about your surroundings is the key to defend yourself from goons or from accidents.
We teach up to the level of rape defense which I think should be mandatory for women at all ages.
He gets it from his Dad:
There is no one person I owe it all to, but a mix of many influential idols I follow. The first person I inherit as well as look up to is my dad. I take much inspiration from him.
The Support system, Driving force
The love & support of my wife, kids & family keeps me going & my passion to improve myself every single day. To be fitter than yesterday & to do the impossible, drives me keeping my spirits high. The love & respect from my students constantly motivates me to explore & dive deep in my profession.
