These five affirmations collectively make a recipe for success, as said by Padmashri Savjibhai Dholakiya. As we entered the premises of the Hari Krishna Export office, we saw an enormous engraving with these five affirmations written over it. How inspiring! Not only does he believe in these, but he also ensures that his employees practice great virtues. The lavish building is filled with spirituality and spiritual virtues engraved wherever the vision falls. Savjibhai is a firm believer in Work is Worship and maintains his workplace equivalent to a place of worship.

Spirituality is in the air when one enters his workplace with spiritual thoughts engraved and idols of worship around. An attractive, and eye-catchy thing in his office is a massive book of Bhagwad Gita and YogaSutras - Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga Guru.

Savjibhai Dholakiya

Savjibhai Dholakiya, the founder and chairman of Hari Krishna Exports, claims to be a simple yet workaholic man. He came to the city of diamonds with a vision and a dream of making it big someday. A 12-year-old boy dropped out of school to fulfil his parent's dream of living a lavish lifestyle in a city. Savjibhai initially started working a modest job of diamond polishing in his uncle's diamond business. After a struggle of around a decade of diamond polishing, he eventually set up his diamond business in 1991 along with his brother, Ghanshyam Dholakiya.

On asking him, how did it happen? I had been manifesting it every moment and every day of my life. The Universe and my Almighty knew how dedicated I was towards achieving the dream.

Things started falling into place gradually, and the right pieces occupied the jigsaw puzzle. And eventually, the day came when I could claim a business of my own. With an endless amount of perseverance and self-discipline, Savjibhai steadily climbed the ladder to success.

A verdict from his parents and Savjibhai blindly set on the path of achieving their dreams. The love and respect that he has for his parents are truly inspiring. All these years, he claims he had just been fulfilling his parent's wishes. Now is the time he wants to do something for himself. It was not a choice but a verdict from my parents to drop out of school, get out of the small village and move to the city for future prospects. They wanted me to be a big and a respectable man, and I am one today.

Now that he thinks he has successfully fulfilled their command, he wants to fulfil his desires and is striving to do so. Savjibhai is a compassionate man and a boss. He is well aware of his struggles, and hence, he can relate to those that his employees might be facing. Savjibhai Dholakiya is well-known for generous Diwali gifts and bonuses to his employees. Very recently, he gifted a car to almost 600 employees. According to him, he didn't do it for fame but for the sole purpose of rewarding his employees with what they deserve like any other white-collar employee.

I am a businessman. My job is to keep my employees happy. If by rewarding them, I can retain my employees then I am doing a fair deal.

Savjibhai claims that he is the same Savji who came starry-eyed with a bundle of dreams in the same. The only difference is that the hard work and perseverance have paid well, and he has made it huge. I sowed a sapling and now cultivated it into a full-grown tree. And that is the primary reason I am famous now. Fortunately, I am known for my work and passion and not for my money. My dedication and passion were recognised by the Indian Government, and I feel pride in being conferred the title of Padmashri

With great respect comes great responsibility. Being a Padmashri, he is aware of the burden of keeping up with his title and pride. He ensures that he strives towards the well-being of everyone around him and every possible help he can for mankind; a continuous effort of being worthy of the title conferred on him.

Exclusivity is something apart from your primary duty, said the honorable man when we popped up the question of his diverse roles of being a son, husband, father, boss and a man. He is a man of virtues and values. According to him, a man doesn't play different roles exclusively. A man is a son, husband and father at the same time. There is no juggling of the roles when you are true to yourself and every other relationship, that you are dealing with. Honesty and respect are what every relationship demands, and that is the primary duty of a man. And I am simply fulfilling my duty as a son, husband and father seamlessly.

FITNESS is the primary necessity!

Talking about physical fitness, Savjibhai Dholakiya claims that he can work like an 18-year-old young boy owing to his fitness. Savjibhai is very conscious about his health as he firmly believes that his body is a temple for his soul and he must keep his body disease-free and clean. For that, Savjibhai keeps himself active all day and eats the right kind and amount of food. His favorite dish is Palak and Khichdi, which he consumes almost every day.

His fitness routine consists of Yoga and meditation. Being spiritual to the core, he emphasizes mental health and that he achieves it through regular meditation. Whenever I am stuck or confused and unable to focus, I resort to meditation. I may not be a master of meditation, but I have mastered the level that helps me out of my mental block. It helps me sort out a lot of my problems.

Personal Interests and Entertainment

Savjibhai Dholakiya finds peace in a lot of activities. Horse riding, gardening, taking care of his cows, water sports, and spending quality time amidst nature watching the activities of the birds and animals are the modes of his recreation. Being a simple man, he has no elite hobbies to caress, but serving people gives him happiness. He finds joy and contentment in motivating people around him. He has a strong quality of letting go - forgiving.

He is 60 years old and aims to live another 40 years. He dreams that in the remaining 40 years of his life, he wishes to do work worth 400 years, and leave a remarkable impact. This is a manifestation, and he believes that the Universe and The Almighty will always be by his side, helping him fulfil his dreams.

Message to the youth

There is a pool of opportunities for the youth, and they need to grab the right opportunity at the right time. My ignition was my parents' dream. Find your ignition, set a pathway and work hard for it.
