Simple Chocolate Cake Recipe:
Sharing a light, fluffy, and modern chocolate cake design, made without eggs and so perfect to bring in.
Chocolate cake Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour / Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar/ Powdered Jaggery Powder
- 1/4th cup cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 3/4th Cup milk (Add 2-3 tsp milk if using whole wheat flour)
- 1/2cup flavourless oil
- 1/2 cup Plain yogurt
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Instant coffee powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Chocolate cake Method:
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees C.
- In a bowl, sift all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder & baking soda.
- In another bowl, take powdered sugar, instant coffee powder, milk, yogurt, vanilla extract, and oil, and whisk it well to combine and let the sugar/ jaggery powder dissolve completely.
- Slowly add in the flour moisture and gently fold it in to make a lump-free batter.
- Transfer the batter to the lined tin, and bake it in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes till you get a clean skewer.
Healthier Beautiful Chocolate Cake Sponge
Here is our version of a healthier version of our chocolate cake, which is gluten-free, refined sugar-free, egg-free, and diabetic-friendly too. You can simply gorge in without any guilt of adding up any extra calories to your diet intake.
Healthier Chocolate cake Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup Ragi flour
- 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 3 tsp Stevia powder
- 3 tbsp Flavourless oil ( Olive/ Virgin Coconut / Sunflower )
- 3/4thcup Milk
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Healthier Chocolate cake Method:
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees C.
- In a bowl, sift ragi flour, stevia, cocoa powder, baking powder & baking soda.
- In another bowl, take milk, yogurt, vanilla extract, and oil, and whisk them well to combine into a homogenous mixture.
- Slowly add in the flour mixture and gently fold it in to make a lump-free batter.
- Transfer the batter to the lined tin, and bake it in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes till you get a clean skewer
Pro-tip for chocolate cake
Add a zest of 1/2 fresh orange to the batter, and top it with some roasted almond pieces for the crunch. Let the cake cool and slice it. I bet, this will be your best tea/coffee time companion.
