Get, Set, Skate!

Decided to stand again, on skates!
With utter motivation from his coach Ketan sir and his other mentors like Asfak sir and Alka ma’am, he registered his name in State Level Dance Competition and earned gold. He also got selected for nationals and stood as the proud winner. From that moment, there was no stopping for Chetan.
Chetan represented India in three consecutive international Roll Ball Championship.
- 3rd South Asian Roll Ball championship 2017
- 3rd Asian Roll Ball championship 2019
- 5th Roll Ball World cup 2019
What is Roll Ball?
Roll Ball combines Roller Skates, Basketball, Hand Ball and Throw Ball.
Being a newbie to the game, Chetan found it challenging to manage the ball and balance on the skates simultaneously. However, he learned all the techniques, strategies and skills relevant for the game by observing his seniors and incessantly sweating on the field
“Presence of mind is a must in this game. If you are diverted, you might trip and fall, injuring yourself badly, and if not focused on the ball, the other team will steal it.”
Like all games, Roll Ball is an excellent form of exercise as it pumps up your legs, shoulders and the entire body, as well as help exercise your mind.

Mustn’t skip Skipping
“I witnessed someone practising a precarious form of skipping, and I wondered if he can, why not me?” So that is how he started to skip and enjoyed various innovations like fusing skating and skipping together.
How does the champ practice Fitness?
“I give my 100% effort for every activity, whether it is Skating, Roll ball or Skipping.
Taking his studies and work into the equation, he has created a fitness calendar for the week, where for three days he skates and goes to the gym, while the other three he practices skipping, counting till 4-5k or more, along with skating. He also formulates and follows a strict diet plan to help him work out smoothly.
Maintaining Mental Health is a Must!
Chetan tries to keep his mind at peace. He tries to be humble and kind with others and avoids self-criticism. He tends to ignore the negativities around him and seep in the positive vibes from places, people and ideas. He believes spending time on your hobby helps immensely in personal development. Under pressures of competition, he pumps himself up by listening to motivational songs, watching his old videos and analyzing his mistakes. He practices yoga and meditation, reads a book, and offers prayers as it helps with the state of his mind and outlook on life.
