Why do you need to focus on nail health?
A stiff bed of dead cells, that’s what our nails are made of, says Ms.Gulabwani. Yet they can play a vital role in our lives. Don’t your hands look pretty when your nails are shaped well decorated by illustrious art? Meenu Gulabwani agrees too! When is the correct time to focus on nail health?
The nails and the skin around it say a lot about our health and bodies. It’s a wonder how magically our bodies work, where something as insignificant as nails, for many, can speak so much about our bodies. For example, dark spots under our nails or the discoloration of our nails display the health of our body!
Oh, so often, we wash our hands to maintain hygiene. We wash our hands vigorously with soap and water to prevent the deadly virus. In addition, we use hand sanitizers after touching any object that we deem unsafe or a potential carrier of the virus. But what about our nails that are stuck to our fingers forever? Look around, and you’ll find many dirty nails sticking out of people’s fingers, which is utterly unhygienic.
We practice so many activities with our bare hands throughout the day, like eating, washing clothes and utensils, mopping the floor, and so on. Hence, maintaining clean hands and even more immaculate nails is essential. Clean nails are an integral part of our overall health, and failure to do so can invite several diseases.
How will you take care of your nails?
Our schools had a mandate to cut nails every Monday, that was a scientific way to nail care. We don’t follow that rule today, do we? The food debris, dust, and soap are often stuck in your nails which do not wipe off easily giving your hands a bad appearance. Frequent washing, trimming, and conditioning of nails are extremely important when it comes to nail care.
