A 24-year-old boy called Ajay started drinking alcohol under the influence of his friends and peers at the vulnerable age of 15 or 16 and eventually got addicted to it. As a result, he got affected with Alcoholic Liver Cirrhosis, whose ultimate treatment was a Liver Transplant.
The Transplant Challenge
Transplantation of Human Organ Act 1994, is the law governing the procedures of transplants in India. The transplant procedure is undertaken most transparently. The following conditions are needed to be fulfilled for a transplant to take place:
- Availability of Donor
- Compatibility of Donor and Receiver
- Medical Fitness of the Patient
- Financial feasibility of the patient and his family members
- Patients Turn on the waitlist
Considering the above conditions the transplant procedure often doesn’t get initiated, and patients keep suffering.
Stem Cell Therapy as a Lifeline
To be eligible for a transplant, one needs to fulfil all the requirements, but in the case of Ajay, he wasn’t fulfilling all the criteria owing to his economically limited background. The liver cirrhosis had worsened to the point where the doctors gave him an ultimatum of 3-6 months, which made the situation desperate.
Ajay's Journey with Stem Cell Therapy
When Ajay arrived at Viecell, he was in a wheelchair and very weak. He could hardly speak about his condition, so his mother explained everything while crying, and his elder brother was tense. The doctors at Viecell started his treatment immediately, and the senior scientists and doctors anticipated complexities due to the critical nature of his case. Ajay was prescribed 6 cycles of cell therapy, with each cycle spaced 30 days apart. After his first cycle, he was given a strict diet plan, and his family members were instructed to give him cell support medicine as directed for the best results.
After a month had gone by, Ajay returned to Viecell. This time, he was not confined to a wheelchair but was walking with the assistance of his mother and brothers. The hope on the faces of his family members was clear to see, as there had been a significant improvement in Ajay's appearance. The doctors had completed his second cycle of treatment and modified his diet plan, which helped in his faster recovery while he continued to take his medication.
After the second month, Ajay arrived walking with his family members, all of them looking satisfied. By the third cycle, his mother had tears of joy in her eyes, but his brother seemed nervous. Despite being given a significant discount due to their financial situation, he was struggling to pay the hospital bill.
An Appeal for Ajay's Recovery
Amidst the current situation, the Viecell Institute of Regenerative Medicine has made a decision to appeal for crowdfunding. Ajay, a young 24-year-old boy, deserves to live a healthy life like other boys his age. Fortunately, he is responding very well to the stem cell therapy, and further cycles will aid in restoring his liver function to normal.
Ajay has completed three cycles of stem cell therapy and requires three more for his well-being. Medical reports before, during, and after his third cycle of treatment are available upon request to those willing to support Ajay's continued treatment. He is in urgent need of assistance and has learned from his past mistakes. Now, he seeks another chance to improve his life. Viecell is making a heartfelt appeal on behalf of Ajay Rajput, a resident of Vadodara.

The Science Behind Ajay's Recovery
Ajay’s recovery is not magic, it is complete scientific logic. Our bodies are composed of trillions of cells, which are the foundation of our life. These cells work together to form tissues, and tissues combine to create organs, organ systems, nerves, blood vessels, and layers of skin that determine our outer appearance. Every day, new cells are formed and old ones are eliminated. Cells also communicate with each other to maintain our bodily functions.
Ajay had severely damaged his liver due to excessive alcohol consumption, which prevented his liver from repairing itself. Through Cell Therapy, Ajay was able to regenerate and repair his damaged cells. The newly infused cells improved his body's immune and response system, partially reversing the damage to his liver and restoring its function.
