The Building Company came to life in 2014, but its story spans at least six more years. In 2008, the company's founders were involved in an industrial project in collaboration with American engineers. The project oversaw some futuristic developments.
As Jagat Viradiya, one of TBC's top voices, recalls, “This experience provided us with invaluable insights into construction technology, design innovation, electrification, and environmental sustainability. Armed with this knowledge and a background in real estate, we set out to create something truly of our own.”
Using their acumen to practice, they brought to life Monarch, a commercial building that set new benchmarks in Surat’s real estate market. We want to leave something valuable for future generations,” Jagat Viradiya explains.

The Building Company might be popular for its innovative and customer-centric approach; however, the driving factor behind its success is the synergy of its three key associates: Niraj, Jatin, and Jagat. Each brings unique strengths to the company, ensuring smooth operations and continuous growth.
Niraj Viradiya is the business development partner. His role is to act as the face of the company, scout for better opportunities, and keep pushing the boundaries. He is considered the engine of the team, which keeps them going. Jagat also said it was Niraj’s vision “to establish The Building Company as a recognised name across Gujarat.”
Jatin Viradiya is the technical master known for handling the nitty-gritty of constructions, designs, and their executions. He mostly operates as the project head to ensure their work delivers top-tier quality. “He weaves the thread to create the tapestry,” Jagat explains, referring to his ability to coordinate multiple agencies during construction. Furthermore, he also mentions that Jatin is a taskmaster who puts in long hours to ensure every project element aligns with the singular vision.
Jagat Viradiya considers himself an analyst and strategist. His main job in the company is to approach every opportunity with caution, ensuring that risks are calculated and sustainable. “When an offer comes to me, I say, we are not doing it. Now convince me why we should,” he shares. His methodical approach prevents impulsive decisions and keeps the company financially and legally secure.
To explain their work together, Jagat draws an analogy with a car. He says, “Niraj is like the engine that keeps us going throughout, while Jatin is the driver who takes on the task of going through every project meticulously. I am the break, the insurance guy.” Together, these three individuals balance ambition, execution, and caution, ensuring that The Building Company thrives in the present and builds a sustainable future.
Green Building: A Commitment to the Future
The Building Company calls itself futuristic. But this is not just a fancy term they use to stand out from their competition. It has been a philosophy they have adhered to since their inception.
Long before the construction business considered the environmental impact of everything, TBC established itself as a sustainable builder. They have followed a path of sustainability to ensure longevity and delivered it in the form of Green Buildings.
Now, reading the term “Green Building” might pop several ideas in your mind, and you might confuse it with yet another so-called eco-friendly structure. However, that is not the case. Jagat explains, “Green Building is a commitment to responsible construction that reduces a building’s overall impact on the natural environment by using energy, water, and other resources effectively.”
He further breaks it down into three different aspects. The first is using eco-friendly materials that reduce pollution while conserving natural resources. A good example of this would be using AAC blocks instead of traditional blocks, as they are made of materials that don’t harm nature. On top of that, they offer excellent thermal insulation, soundproofing, and fire resistance.
The second important aspect is creating a design that balances natural elements. A Green Building must incorporate natural light and ventilation that enhances indoor quality as well. This can be achieved by the strategic use of glass, which allows ample daylight and reduces the need for artificial lighting.
Last but not least, technical integrations like installing solar panels can help harness renewable energy, decreasing reliance on fossil fuels. Recycled water systems collect and reuse rainwater, addressing water shortages and reducing waste. Implementing these technologies conserves resources and leads to long-term cost savings.

One such venture is Drifters Brewing Company, which produces excellent beer at affordable prices. Although their business is confined to Maharashtra, they are willing to expand it to other states. Apart from this, they are also looking to enter the fashion and cosmetics business.
