“In these unprecedented situations, stress levels have increased so much in everyone’s life, hence I feel yoga can be an amazing and relaxing addition to your lifestyle”, says Ms.Kinjal.
1. Stretching from pregnancy to teaching
After Kinjal’s two kids, she gained 15 to 20 kgs which didn’t bother her then. But suddenly one day sitting down, she struggled to get up, that incident shook her and changed it all.
“I realized how being fit is so important, and from there I started my fitness journey.”
She initiated her journey through CDs and YouTube, teaching herself in the morning when her family was still asleep. During the pandemic, she helped neighbours become fit in such crucial times and that’s when she decided to go for the course.
2. Dodging the barriers
“My only struggle was time management.”
Being a homemaker, a mother of two, and a social animal, it was difficult for Kinjal to juggle everything.
“But I think God was by my side and gradually everything fell into place. I would study my lessons after my kids went to bed.”
3. Say Namaste to pursuing Yoga
“Yoga is all about practice, and when you practice you will succeed in achieving your goals. It will have a long-term impact on your body and soul which leads to positivity in life.”
So how can you start yoga? Easy. Just own a mat. Also it's highly advisable that yoga is practised under the guidance of an expert.
“Satvik Aahar is the best diet you can have. Drink lots of water and eat only when you are hungry and have adequate sleep. That's how you can do it.” says Kinjal sharing the mantra to stay fit.
4. Exclusive for readers
“According to me, fitness is all about giving importance to yourself in this fast-running world. And Yoga is for life! If you wish to lead a healthy life, you should opt for yoga. Because yoga is more than just a form of exercise, it includes Yama- Niyama, Pranayam, Pratyahara, Dharna, Dhyan, and Samadhi. Hence, I would suggest everyone include yoga at least 2 days per week in their fitness journey.”
